The Artist

About Riley Clark

(Or, the not-so-generic artist bio you actually want to read)

If you’re looking for a clean-cut, ultra-polished “fine art photographer” bio, you might want to scroll a little further. But if you’re wondering, “Who is this guy and why should I spend my hard-earned money on his work?”—great question. Let’s start there.

I wasn’t always an artist.

In fact, I spent years chasing an entirely different dream—first as a PGA golf professional, then as a college golf coach at UNLV while working on my MBA in marketing. My background is in hospitality, which means I can hold a conversation with just about anyone, but the truth is—I’m a bit of an introvert. And I’ve always found peace in nature, far from the noise of crowded fairways and hotel lobbies.

Then life threw a curveball.

In 2020, like a lot of people, I was forced to pause. The world shut down, and in the quiet, I picked up my old camera again—something I hadn’t touched since high school. At first, it was just to make videos for friends and family. But before long, I was out in the wild, chasing golden light and rediscovering the magic of still photography. That hobby turned into a passion, and that passion slowly turned into a profession.

Fast forward to now…

I photograph nature because I live for real, unscripted moments—the kind you can’t fake. I spend weeks on the road in my van with my pup, Sage, chasing storms, sunrise light, and wildlife encounters in the middle of nowhere. The images you see here aren’t stock photos—they’re memories. Each one comes from a place I’ve stood, waited, and watched as something special unfolded.

Every piece is printed with care, using archival materials and real wood frames, made to last a lifetime. I personally handle every order and question, because, well… it’s just me here. If you email, I’m the one who replies. If something’s off, I make it right. And if you’re unsure about which piece fits your space best, I’ll help you figure it out.

This business isn’t just about art—it’s about sharing moments from the natural world with people who appreciate them just as much as I do. And if you’ve read this far, I have a feeling you’re one of them.

So, yeah… I’m Riley. Born and raised in Las Vegas. Husband to my high school sweetheart. Full-time nature photographer. And still pretty amazed that this is what I get to do.

If you’d like to learn more about me and this journey, feel free to shoot me a message—or check out my photography book, which pretty much tells the whole story, cover to cover.

Thanks for being here. Truly.
